KIT CARE
All of the decoration processes used at KitStop which we use to produce your Sports Kits and Bespoke clothing, are completed using the highest quality products by our trained experts in the field.
Although the embroidery and print processes are a permanent decoration process, there are some guidelines, which if followed, will ensure that the life of your embroidery and print in particular, will last to the highest finish for as long as possible.
Vinyl Heat Transfers (including Squad numbers, sponsor logos and club badges)
- Washing
We highly recommend that when washing any clothing with transfers or print, you do so at a lower temperature. The ideal temperature would be 40 degrees or less.
We also suggest that to avoid any scratching to your printed transfers, it would also be recommended that you wash any clothing turned inside out. This means that there is no damage caused by the wash drum or other items in any particular wash cycle.
- Drying
We would discourage you to dry your clothing with transfers and print in a tumble dryer. Where there is no alternative, this should always be done on a low temperature with the garment being turned inside out. The transfer process is activated using a high temperature, with any contact with heat to be avoided. (Tumble dryer drum and high temperature drying process)
- Ironing and Pressing
When Ironing or pressing a printed items, or over a transfer, we recommend that you do not iron directly onto the transfer or print area to avoid damage to the transfer or your iron. Turn the clothing inside out to apply the heat to the opposite side of the clothing. If this is not possible, then press or iron though some other material laid on top. (Tea towel or cloth)
- Embroidery
There is little care needed to be taken when washing or drying embroidered clothing. We would simply suggest that on the reverse of the clothing where there may be some backing paper or material, this be left intact. There is no need to remove this. The washing process will soften any excess backing material.
